The Budget session of Parliament will begin from January 29, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar told the press soon after the conclusion of Winter session on Friday. The Budget session, including 23-day recess, will conclude on April 6.
The government will present Union Budget on February 1, the practice they started last year in a departure from past where the Budget was presented on the last day of February.
President Ramnath Kovind will address the joint sitting of the two Houses on January 29 and the Economic Survey will be tabled on the same day.
The phase-1 of Budget session will begin from January 29, which will go on till February 9, whereas the second and last phase of the Budget session will commence from March 5. The session will end on April 6, the Union Parliamentary Affair minister said.
