Vice President visits former PM Vajpayee at AIIMS

Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu, along with his family members, visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday to enquire about the health condition of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is undergoing treatment at the premier medical institute.

The Vice President also met and spoke to the family members of former Prime Minister at the hospital, where he was also briefed by the doctors on his condition. The doctors informed the Vice President that Vajpayee’s condition was stable and that he was improving day by day.

“Along with my family members, visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and enquired about the health condition of former Prime Minister, Shri A.B. Vajpayee, who is undergoing treatment there. #atalbiharibajpai”, he tweeted.

“The doctors informed me that Shri Vajpayee’s condition was stable and improving. Also spoke to the family members of the former Prime Minister. #atalbiharibajpai”, he tweeted.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, BJP Amit Shah, cabinet ministers and leaders across political parties have paid visit to the ailing leader in the hospital.

He was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 with kidney tract infection, chest congestion and the urine output on the lower side.
