Campaigning ends for the 1st phase of Jharkhand Assembly polls

Campaigning for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections ended today

Thirteen constituencies spread over six districts, including Palamu, Gumla, Garhwa and Latehar, will go to polls in this phase on Saturday.

BJP President Amit Shah held rallies in Chatra and Garhwa today.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Executive President Hemant Soren, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha President Babulal Marandi and All Jharkhand Students Union chief Sudesh Kumar Mahto also addressed election rallies.

The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to polls in five phases between 30th November and 20th December. Counting of votes will be held on the 23rd of December.
