Delhi polls: Campaigning to conclude tomorrow evening

The campaigning for upcoming Delhi Assembly elections has gained momentum with just one day remaining for it to end.

Prominent leaders from different political parties are canvassing for votes through roadshows, public meeting and door to door campaign.

The campaign reached its peak yesterday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi holding rallies in the national capital.

In his second rally in the city in two days, PM Modi touched upon various issues, including his government’s flagship Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Today, senior BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah will hold public meetings at Mayur Vihar Phase-3, New Ashok Nagar, Krishna Nagar. BJP President J P Nadda will hold two roadshows in Adarsh Nagar and Tri Nagar.

He will also hold a public meeting at Jungpura. Besides, Punjab Chief Minister and Congress leader Captain Amarinder Singh, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia are among those who will address public meetings at several parts of the national capital.

Delhi will go to polls this Saturday to elect a 70-member Assembly.

Counting of votes will be taken up on the 11th of this month.
