Every poor must get access to healthcare: VP Naidu

The Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu said that Homeopathy needs patronage from both government and public for its development in our country. He also asked researchers and people involved in Healthcare sector to find methods to make it affordable to the needy.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Dr. Jaisoorya and Potti Sreeramulu (JSPS) Government Homeopathic Medical College in Hyderabad on Saturday, the Vice President said that the poorest of the poor people in the country must have access to required basic healthcare.

The Vice President also said that the traditional knowledge of Indian medicine has answers most complex health issues of the modern days and asked people to protect and preserve it for future generations.

During his address, he also complimented the JSPS Government Homeopathic Medical College for participating in the National AYUSH Mission through Public Health Initiatives such as epidemic and endemic preventive programs to prevent chikungunya, encephalitis, jaundice, swine flu and gastroenteritis in the region.
