Govt calls all-party meet ahead of Parliament session

The government has called an all-party meet on Thursday at 5 pm, ahead of the winter session of Parliament that begins tomorrow.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar has convened the meeting at the Parliament Library Building.

The meeting has been called to ensure a smooth functioning of both Houses during the session that will last till January 5. The Lok Sabha speaker too has called an all party meet today ahead of the winter session.

Opposition parties will also be holding a separate meeting to chalk out their floor strategy at 4 pm today. Besides the Congress, leaders of the Left parties, SP, BSP, NCP and others are expected to take part in the meeting.
