Parliament adopts Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address

Both Houses of Parliament on Thursday adopted the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha completed the discussion on the Motion and adopted it by thanking the President for his address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament at the start of the Budget Session.

RS Chairman Venkaiah NaiduPrime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in both Houses of Parliament, replying to the discussion on the Motion of Thanks.

The Upper House passed the resolution after amendments moved by the Opposition members were negated.

President Ram Nath Kovind had addressed a joint sitting of Parliament on January 31. The discussion in Rajya Sabha lasted for over 13 hours.
