Varanasi: Huge cutout of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron at Tulsi Ghat ahead of their visit in Varanasi, March 11, 2018.

President of France Emmanuel Macron visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi this afternoon. Their visit to the historic city witnessed several events, especially the ghats.

The two leaders, who inaugurated Uttar Pradesh’s biggest power plant in Mirzapur Monday morning, followed with the visit to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Trade facilitation Centre at Badalalpur.

Both the leaders then went to the famous Assi ghat, where they took a boat ride from Assi to Dashashwamedh ghat. Following that, the two headed to the Taj Hotel, where Modi host a dinner for the French president, the official said.

Prime Minister Modi also flagged off Varanasi-Patna intercity train at the Manduadih railway station, besides announcing several projects in his parliamentary constituency.
