Nation pays homage to Dr BR Ambedkar on his 64th Mahaparinirvan Diwas

The nation is today remembering the father of Indian constitution Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his death anniversary.

Tributes are pouring in from across the country on the occasion of the 64th Mahaparinirvan Divas of Dr. Ambedkar.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar in the Parliament complex.

Many other leaders were present on the occasion. A large number of people also took part to mark the occasion..

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to BR Ambedkar on his 64th Mahaparinirvan Diwas.

Vice President in a series of tweets, said, humble tributes and respects to the architect of the Constitution.

He said Ambedkar was a champion of democracy, he was a staunch patriot, a nationalist and a humanist to whom upliftment of poor and downtrodden was an essential precondition to development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too paid tributes to BR Ambedkar. In a video message PM Modi said Ambedkar gave a unique gift to the country in the form of Constitution.
