Parliament to take up discussion on Budget 2018

Both Houses of Parliament will initiate a discussion on the Union Budget 2018-19 on Wednesday. The discussion is expected to be initiated after conclusion of debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address after reply by the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Modi is slated to speak on the Motion of Thanks in both the houses today.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had tabled the union budget in Parliament on February 1.

Several members across political parties will put their thoughts across on this years’ budget during the debate. They will not only make suggestions to improve the economy, but also draw the finance minister’s attention to concerns in connection with it.
