Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said that all Parliament members should be united in spirit and purpose to achieve social harmony and peace.
He said this while addressing the annual general meeting of the Indian Parliamentary Group after releasing the Lok Sabha Calendar for the year 2018.
He said that the theme of the calendar based on the inscriptions in Parliament was unique and motivating. Speaking at the event, he also hailed the Indian culture.
Speaking at the occassion, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said that the calendar provides glimpses of inscriptions nestled on domes, arches, chambers and other places in the Parliament House building.
The Lok Sabha calendar was first launched in 1999. Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar and members of Indian Parliamentary Group were among those present at the occasion.
