Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a tea party for NDA associates at 7 RCR in Delhi on Sunday evening at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is full with confidence following its recent successes in Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections.
All eyes were on PM’s Diwali Milan held in New Delhi on Sunday.
Speaking on the occassion PM Modi said that MP’s shouldt hink beyond politics and work like the social worker.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious projects such as the Clean India campaign and the MP Model Village scheme were taken up during the high tea for NDA MPs Sunday evening with a view to seek their support and participation for its success.
Along with refreshments, the MPs were given ministerial presentations on PM’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) at the tea-party organised as part of Modi’s ‘Diwali Milan’.
Union Minister for Finance and Defence Arun Jaitley gave presentation on Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna.
Union Minister for Rural Development Nitin Gadkari gave a presentation on Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) and seek active participation from the MPs for the success of the programme which was launched by Modi on October 11.
The presentation on Shramev Jayate was given by Union Minister of Labour & Employment, Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar.
The Diwali Milan get together hosted by PM is significant as it comes ahead of government formation in Maharashtra, amid speculation of a possible BJP-Shiv Sena tie-up.
Union Minister Anant Geete said that all Shiv Sena MPs will be present at PM’s tea party but clarified that party supremo Uddhav Thackeray will not attend as the get together was only meant for NDA MPs.
Some of NDA allies will not be attending the Diwali Milan as they do not have a single leader elected as MP. These include BJP’s Tamil Nadu allies MDMK and DMDK.Nadu allies MDMK and DMDK.
