Saying that he doesn’t want to deliver a Prime Minister’s  speech on the Independence Day from Red Fort, PM Modi invited people to send their messages to him to read out in 15 August.

Delivering his monthly speech Mann Ki Baat PM said ‘this time, I don’t want to deliver PM’s speech. I want to deliver your messages. Send me messages on Narendra Modi App,”

Prime Minister began his speech extending his best wishes to the Indian athletes taking part in Rio Olympics this year.

Prime Minister has asked all citizens to share their best wishes with 119 Indian contingent participating at Rio and encourage them to win medals and hearts of billions across the globe.

“On the ‘Narendra Modi App’ share your good wishes to the athletes. Let us encourage our athletes as much as possible, ” the PM said on Mann Ki Baat.

Modi spoke of his government’s technology initiative Atal Tinkering Labs during his speech on Sunday saying that the programme will provide skill for school children.

“When we remember Dr. Kalam we think of science, technology… future is going to be technology driven, we need to embrace it,”said Modi.

He said that government will pay ten lakh rupees to schools having Atal Tinkering Labs to install an ecosystem of innovators to encourage innovation, experiment, entrepreneurship.

“Know more about the Atal Innovation Mission, Atal Tinkering Labs and the Atal Grand Challenges,” he said addressing students.

Advising countrymen not to take antibiotics without doctor’s prescriptions, PM asked people to take prescribed only by doctors.

modi_redfort2“When it comes to antibiotics, please complete the full course. Not completing the course or an overdose, both are harmful,” PM said.

PM Modi encouraged distribution and plantation of saplings in his ‘Mann ki Baat’ during the monsoon season.  He has also urged farmers of my country to plant timber so that we don’t need to import timber to make furniture.
