Election fever is gradually gripping Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region after Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted his party’s poll pitch in the state by holding a massive rally in Gondia on Sunday.
Top leaders of all political parties were waiting for Dusshera and Eid festivities to get over, in order to unleash their campaign in this backward region ahead of the October 15 polls.
Traditional style rallies, padyatras, door to door contacts, public meetings are now underway in Vidarbha with most of the candidates reaching out to voters for the October 15 elections.
