Assembly Polls: 68.46% voter turn out recorded in Haryana, 60.5% in Maharashtra

Haryana assembly elections recorded 68.46 per cent voter turnout at the close of polling. Whereas Maharashtra Assembly elections saw a voter turnout of around 60.5 per cent.

Voting began on a brisk note in the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana on Monday with people queuing up outside polling booths since early morning.

Polling was also held in the by-election to 51 Assembly seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 18 states.

The voting commenced at 7 am and ended at 6 pm. Counting of votes will be on October 24.

Voting was also held in by-polls to 51 assembly seats spread across 17 states.
