Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, on Thursday, reviewed the security situation in Kashmir and discussed the way forward at a meeting with the Governor NN Vohra and the state administration in Srinagar.
The Home Minister asserted that the government was taking all possible measures to bring accountability, transparency and good governance into the system.

Singh said that the Centre was focussed on empowering the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and strengthening the institutions of local self governance to kindle new aspirations and hopes amongst the people.
He further said that the Centre was committed to bring peace, stability and prosperity through an honest, effective and efficient administration to solve the problems that the state was facing.
Last month, Governor’s rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir after the BJP-PDP alliance collapsed.
