RSTV Bureau

Delhi-AssemblyTwo unidentified men, who were sitting in the visitors’ gallery of the Delhi Assembly, hurled paper missiles and shouted slogans while the session was underway on Wednesday afternoon. A scuffle broke out and the duo were allegedly thrashed by some of the AAP legislators while they were being whisked away by the security.

The House was briefly adjourned after the incident as uproarious scenes erupted in the House. AAP lawmakers demanded strict action against the two men for violating the sanctity of the House.

The two men had also raised ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ slogans.

The House passed a resolution condemning the act of the two individuals who disturbed the sanctity of the House. Speaker Ram Niwas Goel also ordered one month jail term for the two protesters who created ruckus inside the House.

As the two men were being taken away, some of the AAP MLAs including Nitin Tyagi, Amanatullah Khan and Jarnail Singh stepped out of the House amid scenes of chaos. Some AAP MLAs thrashed the two men, injuring one of them.

In the note found printed inside the paper missiles, the two men claimed that they were AAP workers who took the step as they were unhappy with the Arvind Kejriwal-led party and the alleged “corruption cases” against Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain.
