Continuing the Liquor ban promise made by DMK and AIADMK, Anbumani Ramadoss lead PMK also echoed the ‘ban’ slogan in its manifesto released for upcoming polls.
While releasing the manifesto, Pattali Makkal Katchi said that Karunanidhi’s DMK has copied many provisions from the draft released by PMK last year.
“They have copied 42 schemes from our draft manifesto. Implementation of Prohibition, establishing Lok Ayukta, Right to Service Act,” Ramadoss told media in Chennai.
Assuring his party’s main promise of bringing in a dry law if voted to power, Ramadoss son and PMK’s CM candidate Anbumani reiterated that his first order as Chief Minister would be to implement prohibition.
In its manifesto, S Ramadoss lead PMK promised to provide computer tablets to school-going children with ’e-bag’ software to reduce the number of books they carry to school.
Manifesto also has a proposal to provide free medical treatment, government subsidised health insurance scheme. A separate Agriculture budget and restriction on GM crops are also part of the PMK manifesto.
A separate ‘Secretariat City’ will be set up in the city suburbs and it will house government departments, state Assembly and quarters for Ministers and MLAs.
It will also have malls, play areas and educational institutions and will function as an ‘Integrated City,’ it said.
PMK has secured one Lok Sabha seatfrom Dharmapuri when Jayalalithaa wave swept the Lok Sabha election in 2014. The party has only two seats in the 235 seat Tamil Nadu assembly. Tamil Nadu goes to polls on May 16.
