Today’s youngsters are becoming job creators, says PM Modi

In a first, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, interacted with the young entrepreneurs and innovators from the world of startup. Hailing start-ups, the Prime Minister said they are not only confined to big cities but even smaller towns and cities are emerging as a vibrant start-up hubs.

“India is a youthful nation and today’s youth are moving towards becoming job creators rather than job seekers,” he said.

Saying India has distinguished itself in the global start-up eco-system, Modi further underlined the need for modifications in agriculture by saying that we have started an Agriculture Grand Challenge and invited youngsters to ideate on how to transform the agriculture sector.

Along with Make in India, ‘Design in India’ is also important, said PM Modi.

“We in the Government understand that youngsters may face shortage of funds for their start-ups. That is why a ‘fund of funds’ has been started by the Government to facilitate more youngsters to innovate and ideate”, tweeted PM Modi.

This is the unique interaction between PM Modi and young innovative minds of the nation. He also applauded the youth’s futuristic and out-of-the-box thinking and added that India has emerged as a hub for start-ups and innovation.

“India has emerged a hub for start-ups and innovation. Indian youngsters have distinguished themselves due to their futuristic and out-of-the-box thinking. During tomorrow’s interaction youngsters from leading incubation centres and tinkering labs will be taking part as well,” the Prime Minister had shared on his Twitter handle.

Modi further urged the young minds to join the interaction as it is one of the wonderful way to learn, grow and inspire.
