Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu praised the dynamic role played by the Indian diaspora of Antwerp in making Belgium a hub of global diamond trade and in contributing towards the prosperity of the Belgian economy. The Vice President said this while addressing the Indian diaspora of Antwerp in Belgium on October 20.
On his arrival in Antwerp, Vice President visited the Jain temple also visited the library complex located with in the premises.
He spoke about the new India that is emerging as a major force in an evolving multi-polar world. He added that armed with inherent advantages such as expanding workforce, huge consumer market, rapid urbanization, growing education and skill capabilities and stronger technology, India had embarked on a journey of inclusive and sustainable growth. He guaranteed that India had its eyes set on transforming its economy with renewed focus on performance and added that a number of business impeding laws were being repealed.
The Vice President assured that a very determined effort was being made in India to expand manufacturing, transform infrastructure and enhance the quality of human resources. He added that the economy was also being formalized at a fast pace.
Vice President had arrived in Brussels on 17th October and attended the two day Asia Europe Meeting held at Europa Building. He also made interventions during the plenary and retreat sessions. He will depart to India on Saturday night and reaxh Delhi on Sunday morning.
