New Delhi, May 5 (PTI): Narendra Modi’s key aide, Amit Shah, today said that the “wrong perception” created by BJP’s political opponents will vanish from the mind of “Muslim brothers” if BJP comes to power at the Centre. He claimed that the government will be run strictly as per constitutional norms.
On Sunday, Amit Shah made a controversial remark that Azamgarh is a castle of terrorists which provided much needed ammunition to opposition parties.
Condemning Amit Shah’s remarks, BSP President Mayawati demanded that strict action should be taken against him by the Election Commission. She also sought to ban him from campaigning in Lok Sabha polls. The national president of Mahila Congress, Shobha Ojha, referred to him as a person who spews venom from his mouth.
Attacking Amit Shah, U.P. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that he has been trying to divide the state from the day he came to UP as the election-in-charge for the BJP.
